The Rev. Canon Georgene "Gigi" Conner
On February 1, 2013, Rev. Gigi Conner joined the members of St. Alban's Church. She hopes we will get to know each other well and do our best to work together as Christ's hands and heart in this community and beyond.

Rev. Gigi has spent her entire life as an Episcopalian. Raised in Ocala, Florida, Rev. Gigi was baptized and confirmed at Grace Episcopal Church. Being first an active member of the church, then a lay staff member at a church and eventually, a priest of the church, has taken her to many different places where she has met a great diversity of people. She has been a Sunday School teacher, a Director of Religious Education, and a Canon for Evangelism. In 2009 she retired but took a part-time position as Vicar of a small, but big-hearted church in Woodstock, New York.

After three years in the cold, she thought it best to return to her home in Gulfport, just a few minutes from St. Alban's, where she lives with her cat Pete Rev. Gigi's cat, Pete (rescued as a kitten from the organ pipes of St. Peter 's Cathedral). Rev. Gigi has one daughter who lives in St. Petersburg, and one who lives in New Orleans.

Iona, Scotland, is the place where Rev. Gigi goes to get recharged, learn more about music and prayers from around the world, and learn how to be more inclusive in worship and incorporating new members.

Rev. Gigi's office hours here will be Monday-Wednesday, 10am - 5 pm and other times as needed. If you need her for a pastoral emergency or want to set up a visit, contact her at gigipriest@prodigy.net or call the parish office at (727)360-8406.

The vestry is the governing board of the church. Members typically are elected to serve three year terms. At monthly meetings the vestry reviews and takes action on accounting matters, the physical plant, and spiritual wellbeing of the parish. Working closely with the priest-in-charge, the vestry provides an energized core group who advocate tirelessly for the parish, the community, and beyond.
